As proactive supporters of UKWRA’s Water Reuse Week 2026, here is a look back at how Aquality raised awareness for sustainable water practices last week:
- Parliamentary Engagement: We attended the launch event sponsored by Paul Davies MS at the Welsh Parliament Senedd, focusing on Wales’s water resilience and planning guidance for rainwater harvesting and greywater recycling systems.
- Westminster Launch: UK WRA Chairman Lutz Johnen joined MPs Julia Buckley and Lee Pitcher at Westminster to advocate for making water reuse standard in new developments by 2030.
- Online Conference: Lutz also chaired the UKWRA’s feature-packed online conference, featuring keynotes, panel discussions, case studies and CPD seminars.
- Clay Farm Site Visit: We welcomed visitors from Southern Water to Clay Farm in Cambridge—home to the UK’s first communal stormwater harvesting system (delivered by Aquality and AECOM in 2018). Mains water savings are estimated at around 20–25 litres of mains water per person daily over the years, making this a true success story.
- Educational Seminars: We delivered CPD seminars on rainwater harvesting and greywater recycling technologies to building consultants and engineers in London, Manchester, Cardiff and Southampton.
It was a busy, high-impact week for the whole team at Aquality, and we are happy to play our part to tackle water stress and driving the adoption of water reuse systems.
