At last a system that takes account of climate variances and allows systems to automatically adapt to all climate conditions from drought to floods. Aquality are known as being leaders in the field of professional water management systems and can now announce the launch of the Aqua Storm Control (ASC) system. This revolutionary new system is based on a cloud technology platform that uses sensor data, climate forecast information, & modelling to actively control, maintain, and monitor, water infrastructure.

The UK Suffers Two Extremes – Flood and Drought with Large Variations Inbetween

The Aqua Storm Control system manages the water held in the tanks to maximises their usage and makes water management significantly more efficient.

If flooding is predicted the tanks installed will be emptied to take the run-off in periods of heavy rain. Where a period of drought is forecasted the control will save the water in the tanks to a maximum and provides stored water for general use. The system adapts to the weather conditions and allows for the optimal use of tanks to handle both extremes of flood and drought and the range in between.

The traditional view has been to treat the two extremes of flood and drought as opposite problems but with the Aqua Storm Control system both issues are tackled as one with benefits all around in managing water efficiency. In the past treating these as two separate issues meant often fitting separate systems and two tanks with serious cost implications. Now those costs can be halved.

Storm Water Control Obligation UK

The flood prevention regulations require that all new buildings deal with storm water run-off on site – so large attenuation tanks are often a necessity. These often huge tanks are designed to take a once in a 100 year storm event or more – a high cost for a rare event. The tanks have no other purpose and are there as a necessary cost with no return for the investment. Now with the Aqua Storm Control system and intelligent water management that same attenuation tank can be used as a rainwater storage tank, providing a natural water supply on an ongoing basis.

The benefits of Aqua-Storm-Control to property Designers, Installers, Property Owners and the greater Community are clear:

  • One tank not two so an immediate saving on tanks, construction and groundwork
  • Less space required and the dormant attenuation tank becomes live and useful

  • A rainwater harvesting system added at very low cost and make savings from day 1
  • Readings measured constantly by the Online performance monitoring of the rainwater harvesting system
  • Existing attenuation tanks can be adapted to manage rainwater profitably

One tank, not two and much better use of resources at a significant lower cost.

The Aqua Storm Control will revolutionise water management and offer benefits not enjoyed by the industry and the environment until now.
